Thoracic Care Tips
DO:
- sit up as straight as possible
- take deep breaths throughout the day
- avoid becoming stiff by
- moving head, neck, shoulders throughout the day
- avoiding chills in the neck and back
Do the following ____ times every hour:
- pull shoulder blades back
- move neck side to side, forward, back
- arch and round your back
DON'T:
- slouch
- stay in one position too long
- attempt activities that require bending over, such as
toe touches or diagonal toe touches
